Meet the Clar/e/ty TEAM

If you missed the big announcement last week, the Clar-e-ty Team is GROWING! A few weeks ago, I officially brought on two amazing coaches who will be joining me in creating impact and helping you reach your nutrition and body composition goals.

I want you to get a chance to meet the new members of the team!

What I love most [and why I hired them in the first place] is that we not only are very similar in many ways, but our differences compliment each other well. We're all driven by helping others and have a passion for health and fitness, but we're perfectly different as well. Because of this, we're going to be able to reach even more people and change and impact even more lives, which is truly the Clar-e-ty mission.

Why grow a team?

2020, as you all likely know from experience, has been an interesting year. It's been a very tough year for very good reasons. It forced me to sit down and audit my time and the impact I've been creating.

And I'll be honest, around June/July, I realized I'm pretty maxed out. Between taking on clients, writing nutrition plans and training programs, creating content, and running my day to day operations, I don't have much time to put into growing my business...and there's SO much more I want to offer. Something was going to have to change. I was going to have to either sacrifice more of my time OR drop clients and raise my rates...neither of which I want to do. Around the same time, these two coaches had reached out for potential opportunities....and everything just fell into place. Looks like the good ole Universe was sending me some serious signs.

So today's blog is going to be your chance to get to know them.

SO without further ado, let's meet the team! I had them answer a few questions about themselves so you could have a chance to learn more about them. We've got some fun stuff and also some more serious stuff (like why they're going to make great coaches!).

Enjoy :)

First up is Ashley!

ASHLEY:

WHERE YOU LIVE:

⁣Oxnard, California

OCCUPATION (OR FIELD OF WORK):

⁣CrossFit Coach at Royal Pride CrossFit

WHEN DID YOU START YOUR “FITNESS JOURNEY”:

I grew up riding horses and competing at a national level, but ⁣I started my fitness journey back in June of 2018 after attending my first CrossFit class.

FAVORITE TYPE OF WORKOUT:

I LOVE a long and grindy-type of Metcon and anything with burpees or thrusters (I know, I’m crazy).

FAVORITE FOOD:

⁣This one is tough, but chocolate is my weakness.

MOST MEMORABLE LOCATION YOU’VE VISITED:

My husband and I love visiting San Diego, California. Specifically, the GasLamp Quarter. The vibe in downtown San Diego is unparalleled and the food is to die for!

IF YOU COULD EAT OR DRINK ONE THING FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Sushi, or Poke as long as I’m still living in California. West coast fish is so fresh!

PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’D GIVE SOMEONE NEW TO THEIR NUTRITION JOURNEY:

Enjoy the process and don’t get caught up in achieving results at a rapid pace. It’s all about the journey from point A to point B and learning everything you can along the way while staying present.

WHY YOU JOINED THE CLAR-E-TY TEAM & WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST:

After meeting Clare, I was inspired to not only become a nutrition coach myself, but to also educate myself to the best of my ability. I signed up for my Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification shortly after; however, I felt like I had a bunch of information and lacked the tools and confidence to use it. I wanted to work with someone I knew I could learn a great deal from, so I reached out to the person I trusted could help me gain more knowledge and the confidence to coach to the best of my ability; Clare.

I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of the Clar-e-ty team. I’m thrilled to be a part of a group of women who value each other's opinions and genuinely care about each other’s success. I’m looking forward to helping people not only achieve their goals, but also ensuring they retain valuable knowledge, skills and habits that will sustain them throughout their nutrition and health journey.

And now for the second coach, Emily, who as you'll learn shortly was a client of mine for months! She knows the ins and outs and what it's like to not only COACH but also be coached...something that is VERY important as a coach...and one of the reasons she's on the team.

EMILY:

WHERE YOU LIVE:

⁣Atlanta, GA

OCCUPATION (OR FIELD OF WORK):

⁣Finance Consultant

WHEN DID YOU START YOUR “FITNESS JOURNEY”:

⁣I grew up playing competitive tennis but in 2012 I began CrossFit when I was a junior in high school.

FAVORITE TYPE OF WORKOUT:

It is a tie! I LOVE heavy back squats and power cleans. I have been running a lot more recently but these two remain a staple in my training.

FAVORITE FOOD:

⁣Pizza :)

MOST MEMORABLE LOCATION YOU’VE VISITED:

Edinburgh, Scotland! I spent part of last November in Edinburgh visiting my sister who was studying abroad and loved everything about the city. I cannot wait to be able to travel internationally again.

IF YOU COULD EAT OR DRINK ONE THING FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

We recently had this as a question of the day at the gym so I have had a lot of time to think this through. Potatoes! Tater Tots, mashed potatoes, hash browns, french fries, baked potatoes, SO many options. I don’t think I would get sick of them too quickly.

PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’D GIVE SOMEONE NEW TO THEIR NUTRITION JOURNEY:

It is a journey! Have patience and trust the process. You are worth so much more than a quick 8 week challenge. Invest in yourself!

WHY YOU JOINED THE CLAR-E-TY TEAM & WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST:

I met Clare in 2016 at Pale Horse CrossFit. We worked out together for a few years but after graduating in 2018 I left Charleston and moved to Atlanta, GA. Early in 2019 I reached out to Clare for help. I was working crazy hours and was not properly taking care of myself whether it was not going to the gym or struggling to keep my nutrition in check. I had counted macros before but really needed someone to keep me accountable. Clare coached me through the transition of going from a student athlete to a corporate professional and then into my first marathon training cycle. Clare taught me how to manage my nutrition and prioritize what was truly important. In November of 2019, Clare and I had a conversation about me pursuing my nutrition certification after I expressed interest in it through a weekly check in. From there we hopped on a call and talked about the possibilities. 2020 began and I kept saying I did not have time, and any other excuse I could think about. In October of 2020 I was fed up with the excuses and thought if not now, when. I signed up for my Precision Nutrition certification and reached out to Clare. Our timing worked out perfectly that we were able to meet in Charleston the very next week. Clare offered me an opportunity to not only be a nutrition coach but to accompany clients throughout their nutrition journey. Clare has been instrumental in my every day. I look forward to providing clients with stability, accountability, and to be their biggest cheerleader. Clare and Ashley are amazing! I cannot wait for the future of Clar-e-ty Nutrition and am so excited to be part of the team!

So there you have it!

As you can see, we're going to make a great team. This has been several years in the making. Emily and I had this discussion almost a year ago! Ashley and I have worked together and connected for almost as long. They've followed the Clar-e-ty journey and have actually been a part of it for a long time now...which makes them perfect additions to the team.

Most importantly, Clar-e-ty is going to grow in terms of quality and value. Both coaches come from different areas and backgrounds. They have different trainings and educations. One is a damn good oly weightlifter and the other is a boss when it comes to marathons and endurance training and CrossFit. I'm a great coach for many people...but also a terrible coach for others! Having a variety of coaches means we can provide you even better and individualized coaching, and that's what matters, right?

How can you support them?

Follow my coaches on social media! Share, comment and like their content they're putting out. Ask questions and cheer them on!

We will be working diligently the rest of the year to begin taking on clients first of the 2021 new year!!! Details and promos for that are coming soon!

Stay tuned! You’re going to want to see what this team does!
